The Line van den Berg fund

Are you planning an expedition or another mountaineering adventure and could use some financial support? You might be able to benefit from the legacy funds of the NKBV.

In the past, several members have left money to our association. This money is held in five funds, each designated for a specific mountaineering purpose. Members can apply for financial support from these funds. Each of the five legacy funds has its own Statutes with specific provisions for the possible allocation of subsidies. A committee, consisting of NKBV (board) members, manages the legacy funds and reviews applications and potential subsidy allocations twice a year.

Also people who hold a nationality other than Dutch can apply to the Line van den Berg Fund.

Established by Trudy Vos and Albert van den Berg in memory of their daughter Line (1992-2023), who tragically lost her life on the Grosshorn in Switzerland. The fund aims to contribute to Line's mission: achieving equal opportunities for women in climbing and mountaineering. It is therefore dedicated to inspiring and supporting women in practicing climbing and mountaineering as safely as possible and/or to films and publications about women in mountaineering.
